I have read more in the last couple of weeks then most of the rest of the year combined. I finished the pair of books I was working on - I can't remember what they were called, and they weren't particularly good, so it doesn't really matter.
In the last few days I started three books; The American Inquisition: Justice and Injustice In The Cold War, by Stanley I. Kutler, Eragon by Christopher Paolini (I tried to get through this when I was younger, but clearly I prefer boring law books) and Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (again).
I'm not sure where I am generating all this reading time, nor the time it took to write a 50 page letter to Denzel. WTH?
The calendar for September is monstrous - filled to the brim with Shows (for friends, former students and beloved improv troupes), birthday parties (for which I still have to find a jungle animal costume - do I care that none of the other 2 year olds will be wearing costumes? Nah.), dances, trips, new interns, and of course Talk Like A Pirate Day (sept. 19, don't miss it y'all.)
Yeah, I know pirates don't say "y'all". Shut your gob.
I am also composing a kickass video-letter for September. I haven't made one in a long time and there will be plenty to film this month.
Sister brought home Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle on DVD. Flipping my lid a little bit. Pride & Predjudice never gets old. Ever.
The library may now thank me for not tying up their copy.
In other news - Girl Folk Duo in the works. But Shhh. It's a secret.
It is the last weekend for blueberry bread. I am feeling a bit sad at it's going away - it's like saying goodbye to a friend. Clearly my relationship with bread is a bit off-kilter. Sometimes I find myself yelling at it - "GLUTEN! DO YOUR THIIIINGGGG!"
To which Gluten replies with a wail - " I didn't ask for this life!"
Anyway, Nice to meet you Apple Cinnamon.
