Yeah. I'll blog everyday.
Really, I will.
Uhhuh.
So, followers. The snow's a'meltin' and the sun's a'shinin' and the birds.... Well, the birds are still down South. But we can all find dusty rain forest soundtracks under our beds and play them early in the morning like me.
Well. Perhaps that's a bit far out.
So I'll make a small recommendation for all those who are feeling the claustrophobic undertow of winter. Crack the window a bit on warmer days! Sit right next to it and play music that you associate with Spring (Rufus Wainwright via Moulin Rouge soundtrack, anyone?). I'm totally for the whole "embracing the season" thing. I try to encourage that, but I think we all need a little breath of fresh air (literally and metaphorically) to get us through the dredges of these last couple of winter weeks.
Lots of new projects underway, lots of new inspirations. While traipsing through a boho blog, I suddenly remembered this website that I used to visit daily for it's fun tips.
http://www.greenissexy.org/
I came across it one day while reading an article about Rachel McAdams in Vogue (I think). It's mad fun to read, and definitely geared towards optimism. Always a favorite subject here!
.... Also gives you dangerous ideas about green lipstick. :-)
Check it out. I'm not sure how or when I stopped viewing it, but it has been gladly rediscovered.
To end this blog post, I will try to be more positive about winter and suggest that you get together with a pal and drink some coffee or tea. It is a brilliant (and warm!) way of celebrating human interaction.
Optimistically,
Messyfeet
