By the way, I haven't left you all to your pessimism. I'm still here! Blogging infrequently because I'm busy doing the things I would usually blog about. Like painting and writing songs and playing songs and long walks and baking and making word puzzles and solving mysteries and thinking. Oh, so much thinking.
My thoughts recently have brought me far, far into the past, where I have come up with old music (see previous post). The song, Tonight, and The Rest Of My Life by Nina Gordon was one of the most personally stirring songs of my past. I always have a very stunning, horrifying, gentle, epitome of personal peace visual that goes with it in my head. Recently, while dancing around to the song and seeing what I always see, I decided I would try to translate it visually. Painting is much ignored medium on my part. I find that I am too lazy to clean the brushes. But I have been steadfast at it for several days and many layers of paint. We shall see what comes of it. I am very excited.
